I'm Linda Thompson, and I founded Biography because I was initially skeptical that face oils could deliver real results. During a career working with luxury brands I learned one thing: quality doesn't need to explain itself. When it came to my own skin, I wanted the science.

Serums. Creams. Multi-step routines with clinical-sounding ingredients. I was sure that's what worked. Oil seemed too simple. Too... oily. I thought, "I'll trust research and technology, not something that comes from a plant."

A TSA agent took all my skincare products on my way to France, and the winter of 2018 in Paris destroyed my skin. Everything I tried made it worse—tight, dry and dull. A French pharmacist handed me a custom face oil. I rolled my eyes but used it anyway. I threw out every cream in my cabinet within a week.
